This was one of the most unpleasant stays I have had at a hostel. The staff were not the nicest nor were they helpful. The room looked as if they tried to fit as many beds in there as possible. There was a stench to the rooms and the bathroom was disgusting, I don't think it was cleaned once the entire time that I was there. There were bed bugs on one of the beds in the dorm and the response from staff was to tell us it wasn't their fault but they'd 'clean' it.

Rodamon has to be the absolute best hostel experience I have had thus far. The staff are incredibly nice. Cleanliness is top of mind here and it shows, there seems to always be someone cleaning in any part of the riad any time of the day. The rooms are pristine with individual privacy partitions that keep each bunk dark so you can sleep in as well as individual lights, cubby, and plug next to each bed. The decor is simple and elegant, the space is enormous and feels nicer than a hotel.

Staff are beyond friendly and the interior design of the hostel is quirky, modern, and elegant. The rooms are very clean as are the showers. Above all the location is right in the centre of any landmark or destination you might want to visit in Madrid. Most destinations will be within 2-5 mins with some being more than that but still, always walkable. I’ll definitely be staying here when I return to the city.
